About the LSPA: The LSP Association (LSPA) is a non-profit association for Massachusetts Licensed Site Professionals (LSPs) and other related environmental practitioners who work on behalf of property owners, operators, and other involved parties to assess and cleanup oil and hazardous materials (OHM) released to the environment. LSPs are licensed by the Commonwealth to oversee this work and, since 1993, over 40,000 contaminated properties have been brought into regulatory compliance.

The LSPA's mission is to support our membership in achieving and maintaining a high standard of practice in the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites in Massachusetts and New England. The LSPA provides technical and educational resources to our membership in the form of programming, networking events, committees, and resources. The LSPA also serves as an advocate to the profession with MassDEP, the LSP Board of Registration, and the state legislature, and as a resource to the public.

Job Description: The Program & Events Coordinator plays a critical role in the success of the LSPA and serves as a primary point of contact for our members, volunteers, and sponsors. This individual is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the association's educational programs and networking events, administering the sponsorship program, and providing customer service support. Success in this position means delivering high-quality member experiences, maintaining strong relationships with volunteers and sponsors, and ensuring the smooth administration of our continuing education program.

The LSPA hosts one to three events per month with 25-250 people in attendance. Approximately 65% of programming is hosted virtually. Content creation is performed in conjunction with input from the Executive Director, Committee Chairs, Education Committee, and Board of Directors.

• Event Logistics: For in-person events, source event venues and help facilitate contracts; plan food and beverage, room set-up, and audiovisual needs; reconcile venue bills; and serve as the point of contact on-site. For virtual programs, setup and run the virtual meeting platform, monitor attendance and engagement, create moderator scripts and slides, and train speakers on how to use the virtual platform.

• Continuing Education (CE) Administration: Compile CE materials for all educational courses and meetings; submit materials for credit approval with the LSP Board of Registration, the Connecticut Licensed Environmental Professional (LEP) Board, and other Boards/entities; maintain CE records related to attendance, engagement, and evaluation; issue certificates of attendance to attendees; and attend monthly virtual LSP Board of Registration meetings.

• Sponsorship: Help administer the corporate and event sponsorship program, including updating the sponsorship prospectus, facilitating invoices/payments, maintaining contact lists, conducting outreach, and working with sponsors to access their sponsorship benefits.

• Member Service and Organizational Support: Help monitor and respond to inquiries received through the organization email inbox; provide customer service to members, sponsors, speakers, and event attendees; attend Board meetings, leadership meetings, and committee meetings as requested; and support association operations and special projects as needed.
