Benefits Verification Specialist – Remote

Pay: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM EST
Breaks: 1-hour unpaid lunch + two paid 15-minute breaks
Work Setup: Remote | BYOD

Position Summary

We are seeking a Benefits Verification Specialist to verify patient insurance benefits and accurately document coverage information.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.

• Review coverage, cost share, provider options, and restrictions.

• Contact insurance companies and document benefit details.

• Assist with prior authorizations and claims appeals when needed.

• Complete accurate data entry and quality reviews.

• Identify and escalate missing information or reimbursement issues.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED required.

• 2+ years of related experience or a 2-year degree.

• Healthcare, insurance, medical billing, or customer service experience preferred.

• Benefits verification experience strongly preferred.

• Strong computer, communication, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

• Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Remote BYOD position | $17/hour
