ABOUT SCENTO
Scento is Europe's largest perfume decant website. Founded in 2024 and headquartered in Paris on Place Vendôme, with a second office in Berlin, Scento offers more than 1,000 original designer and niche perfumes from a roster of 200 houses as perfume decants: 2 ml, 5 ml and 8 ml vials plus a 30 ml bottle on most perfumes. Niche perfume samples and designer fragrance samples let people discover a scent before they commit to a full bottle. Every perfume is an original bought from authorised European retailers, and every bottle passes a 12-point intake check at Scento's ISO-certified facility before it is decanted.
Scento serves customers in 27 European markets and ships to 26 EU countries. In 2026, Scento's annual revenue is more than €30 million, online and offline sales combined. On Scento.com, monthly decant sales in September 2026 were 3.2 times those of January 2026. Scento says it sells more than 3 million perfume decants a year, about one every 10 seconds. In November 2025, Scento announced it would invest €25 million over three years in European perfume discovery.

THE ROLE
Most people discover a new fragrance by searching, and more and more of them ask an answer engine instead of a search box. Scento wants to be the source that Google, ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Copilot cite when someone asks about perfume decants, niche perfume samples or designer fragrance samples.
As Head of SEO & AI Search you own organic visibility for scento.com in every language the storefront serves. You will combine technical SEO on a Next.js storefront with a serious editorial programme, and you will show the impact in revenue. Success means more pages indexed and ranking, more citations in AI answers, and authority that compounds.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own organic search for scento.com in every language the storefront serves: technical SEO, content, internal linking and structured data.
- Make Scento the answer that ChatGPT search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Copilot cite for perfume decants and niche perfume samples.
- Run the editorial SEO programme of perfume guides, house guides, data studies and the journal, together with writers and translators.
- Work with engineering on Core Web Vitals, rendering, sitemaps, hreflang and indexing.
- Grow authority through digital PR, data-led stories and high-quality links.
- Measure everything in Search Console, analytics and AI-visibility tracking, and report the impact on revenue.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- 8+ years in SEO, including 3+ years leading SEO for a multilingual e-commerce site in Europe.
- Deep technical SEO: JavaScript rendering, structured data, international SEO and crawl budget.
- Hands-on experience with AI search visibility and how answer engines choose their sources.
- Comfort with data in Search Console, SQL or spreadsheets, and Ahrefs or similar; fluent English, with French or German a plus.

SALARY AND HOW TO APPLY
Salary: €125,000 – €160,000 gross per year, full-time, permanent contract, plus an annual performance bonus.
