JOB DESCRIPTION

Charles Technology Africa seeks to hire a Web Developer to independently design, develop, and maintain both external and internal Websites and applications that leverage the WordPress Content management system.
 
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Strong HTML, CSS, PHP and Java Script skills
Expert level Wordpress experience and capabilities
Ability to integrate WP websites with other applications
Experience with Cpanel or other managed hosting platforms
Proficiency with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks
Working knowledge of Apache, Linux Ubuntu, MySQL
Understanding of web accessibility
Ability to work well in a team structure
A passion for quality design and a drive for innovation
Ability to take a concept from sketch or wireframe to final implementation
Strong oral and written communication skills
Multitasking and problem-solving skills
Analytical, organized and proactive attitude
Ability to work under tight deadlines and switch quickly and comfortably between projects as determined by supervisor, clients or other circumstances
Experience developing custom WP themes and plugins a plus
