At 5Plus (part of Pentadoc Group), we build production-grade AI systems that solve real operational problems for our customers.

As a Working Student - AI Engineering, you will help design, build, and deploy AI applications - from LLM-powered workflows (e.g., intelligent document processing) to agentic systems that integrate deeply into our customers' business processes.

You'll work hands-on alongside experienced engineers and take on real responsibility from day one. This role is hybrid (remote + Würzburg) and fits flexibly around your studies.

Your daily business

• Build and ship features for AI systems, from prototype to production

• Develop LLM-powered applications (incl. RAG, tool usage, validations) with a focus on reliability and cost-efficiency

• Contribute to agentic systems (e.g., planning, tool orchestration, multi-step workflows) and their integrations into customers' systems

• Set up evaluations – test datasets, metrics, benchmarks, and monitoring

• Help optimize systems across latency, cost, and quality

• Work with customers and the team to turn real-world problems into concrete technical solutions

Your profile

• Enrolled in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related field

• Solid Python skills

• First hands-on experience with LLMs or ML tooling - from university, side projects, or internships

• Curiosity about what makes LLM applications reliable, safe, and scalable

• Ability to work independently and take ownership of your tasks

Some bonus points to score

• Experience with agentic architectures (planning, memory, multi-agent coordination)

• Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)

• Proficient in German (written and spoken)

• Own projects on GitHub, open-source contributions, or technical writing
